While In2O3 from low-temperature combustion is readily soluble in acids, more extensive high-temperature treatments make it more difficult to dissolve and cause hygroscopicity. 1. You can burn the indium metal in the air, or you can calcine it to create In2O, Io and in2O3. Indium carbonate also produces In2O3, Ino and in2O3, while the In2O3 contains high purity. The reduction conditions are finely controlled so that the In2O3 remains pure. You can prepare the indium trioxide ceramic paste with an average size of 20nm by spray burning.
2. Indium trioxide can be made by burning indium hydroxide. If it's heated too hot, then In2O3 may thermally decompose. However, at a low temperature, complete dehydration will not occur. The oxide produced has an hygroscopic quality. Heater temperature and heat time are critical factors. Because In2O3's melting point is very low, it needs to be maintained in an oxygenating atmosphere.
3. For Indium hydroxide, it is first burned in the atmosphere at 850 for a constant weight. Then it is heated at 1000 for a period of 30 minutes. Indium nitrates can also be burnt in the air, as well as indium carbonate or indium Sulfate to create indium trioxide.
